I'm a software engineer in Sacramento. At HEART4Victims I ship .NET and Angular features for state agencies on VCPMS, the platform they use to process crime victim compensation claims.

Outside of work I build tools with LLMs in the loop, like a job tracker that reads my email and keeps itself up to date.

  1. Integration & QA Engineer (VCPMS)

    Nov 2024 – Present

    HEART4Victims · Sacramento, CA

    HEART4Victims builds VCPMS, a multi-tenant case management platform state agencies use to process crime victim compensation claims.

    • Built and shipped the Navigator Services Tracker for Alaska State Troopers' victim navigators end to end, from design calls to production (Angular 18, .NET 8, ABP, EF Core, Azure SQL)
    • Drove 130+ VCPMS bugs to resolution, including root cause fixes for claim saves silently deleting data and letter totals double counting voided payments
    • Run production support and UAT with Oklahoma state staff three mornings a week; brought 26 letter templates in line with the agency's originals
    • Developed and maintained Playwright integration and end to end suites across multi-tenant Angular apps and .NET Core services: OAuth/JWT auth, document management, payments
    • Utilized Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD automated testing and release management

    Startup developing unmanned seaplane drones for long range maritime cargo and defense missions.

    • Built RESTful APIs to integrate flight telemetry systems with centralized databases (Node.js, Express, SQL)
    • Developed Python scripts for telemetry monitoring and automation in Linux based environments (Grafana, Azure Monitor)
    • Contributed to containerized deployments (Docker) and CI/CD workflows for UAV flight dashboards and APIs

    • Contributed to building an online claim application form that guided users step by step and validated entered data. Result: fewer incomplete applications. (ASP.NET Core, Angular, SQL)
    • Helped develop APIs to send approved payments to the state's finance software, removing double entry. (ASP.NET Core, SQL)
    • Assisted with adding a secure messaging feature for claimants and staff. (SignalR)
